Timetable FAQs

What is Bachata and what types do you do?

Bachata is both a genre of music and dance that originated in the Dominican Republic in the 1960s, blending Merengue, Bolero, and Son Cubano. The dance features a basic side-to-side, three-step rhythm with an added tap and characteristic hip movement on the fourth beat, though modern styles like Bachata Moderno and Sensual have evolved to incorporate more complex turn patterns and upper-body styling. Ours will consist of about 70% Moderna, 25% Sensual and 5% Dominican.
